Davida Finger: New Orleans


Davida received her J.D. from Seattle University Law School in 2002. Upon graduation, she received the Faculty Award for excellence in academics and public service. Davida was the founding Editor in Chief of the Seattle Journal for Social Justice, served as president of the Public Interest Law Group, and was a member of the Seattle University Law Review. During law school, Davida worked at the Washington State Supreme Court for Justice Thomas Chambers and at Columbia Legal Services. She has an M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Tufts University.  Davida, a New Orleans native, is currently on leave from the Public Interest Law Group and is working as the Louisiana State Coordinator for Oxfam America's Gulf Coast Emergency Response. She is leading policy and advocacy efforts throughout hurricane affected areas in southern Louisiana.
